Conversations with Dominique Hooper

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Hooper.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was a lost soul, looking for love and fulfillment in all the wrong places. With little hope, with nothing left, God met me where I was and set me free. Devoted life to Christ opened the door to opportunity, love, and peace of mind.

Everything I had ever wanted, I found in HIM. I share my story in my book “A Woman’s Guide to Wholeness” which is a 12-day interactive guide that helps women grow from brokenness to wholeness in Christ Jesus.

God has designed a beautiful life for ALL of His children. It is up to the US to receive it and believe it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a rough road. Filled with uncertainty, doubt, and fear. I covered a lot of those emotions with alcohol and partying.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Performance Manager in Business Management. I am blessed to be able to encourage, motivate, and train employees on a daily basis.

I am most proud of being able to be myself in the workplace. God has blessed me with a very outgoing and bubbly personality, so I never have to hold back when presenting or training employees. My goal is to make them feel comfortable and know that we are all in this together.

I make it a point to meet them where they are, just as Christ did for me.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I have learned on my journey is to let go and let God. I can try to accomplish things in my own strength and my own will, but it is ultimately HIS will that will prevail in the long run.

So I try my best (haven’t yet mastered this yet lol) to surrender to all that He has for me. His plan, His way, His ideas. It is a daily battle, but one worth fighting.
