Conversations with Deepika Grover

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deepika Grover.

Hi Deepika, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
In my opinion, there is no one who has ever had fear of any kind.  I love to play with words and graphics.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nobody, in my opinion, has ever had fear of any kind; whether it be a fear of fire, fear of scorpions, or fear of drowning. The list is endless. It’s an entirely normal, inescapable feeling. Therefore, even if it’s difficult to completely eradicate fear, we do have influence over how it affects us.

Without the motivational one-on-one I had, I might have become paralyzed by fear. Instead, thanks to a single conversation that encouraged me to change my perspective, I’m doing something I enjoy and earning a solid livelihood. So how did it go?

I was speaking with Sandeep Kumar, the Creative Lead at HCL. He questioned me about my top concern regarding changing careers. So I told him. Considering that I had already quit my work, I was concerned about what would happen if I didn’t make it. His response was brief but accurate: “So what, you’ll find another job.” He could feel that I was letting fear keep me from moving forward, and his extremely matter-of-fact attitude encouraged me to do so.

He was entirely correct. If I hadn’t been a successful Animator, I’m confident that I would have found another position. Fortunately, I landed a job I really wanted in animation.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My journey of professional life started 10 years ago as a design faculty when I was quite young, I had a great time of about 4 years with my co-faculties and students. A classroom is a complex social environment and students must be treated as perplexing and smart people. I always believed that the reason for instructing is to give understudies a structure with which they can test the restrictions of their scholarly ability. So I had always included strategies like discussion, activity-based projects, problem-solving games, and so on in the educational program through which students could explore their insight. Flexibility, Patience, and Discipline were a few qualities that helped me in managing the complexity of the classroom environment.

Later on, I decided to switch my career toward design platforms so I started as an intern with a renowned multinational company. Shifting to a new career as a fresher is not an easy move especially if you are already an experienced employee. There are lots of issues and one of them is salary so my salary was reduced to half which I was getting earlier during my teaching time. This thing hits me really hard, but somehow I explained to myself that this is the time to make things work for my best and this is the place where I could get more knowledge and with a little hard effort I could be at the same place within a little time span, and later on definitely on higher positions. Not only professionally, but it was also difficult on a personal basis, because of some family restrictions. As the new workplace was very far away from my home and it was taking 6 hours daily for traveling with different modes of transportation. But with all of my faith and positive energy I have completed my internship, learned lots of new skills, and become more focused on what I want exactly. So after a little career break, I found a full-time opportunity with another big company with a good salary package and a great working environment.

“Hard work always pays off – I got to know the exact meaning of this phrase.” The pandemic situation was really tough for everyone and I lost my job and got a few allergies attack. Things were turning me into depression mode I was not able to focus on anything. But life has to move on No matter what. So I planned my daily routine once again and I am still on that routine.

After a few months of relaxation, I got the idea to write a book and express my thoughts in the form of words. So I started writing every day and soon I got a story to write up. It took me 6 months to write this short story. The story belongs about a journey of 20 years, in which a girl has faced lots of odds even throughout her life. Tiara the main face of the story is the feeling of almost every teenage girl “falling in love” but in the case of Tiara she ended up with nothing but darkness all around. And after so many wars, she finally woke up differently one morning. And that’s where the coin flipped. Her voice turned dreadful and her actions become demonic. The main theme of this book is based on horror events and mystery.

The Floating Soul – the name of my book. You can find it on amazon.

What do you think about happiness?
We are aware that pleasure isn’t guaranteed, but we are also free to work for it, in whatever form that may take. It isn’t about having material possessions like the newest smartphone or a new car. Face it, these things quickly become bland.

For me, in order to feel happy, you need only three things:

1. Someone to love, and

2. Something to do,

3. Little time with nature.

In the end, nothing matters but it is.

The person who holds you accountable in position one gives you a base, they do it unknowingly. It need not be a spouse (although it’s wonderful when it is), but it could be a friend or any relation.

The person you care more about than yourself is someone you love.

The second option provides you with a purpose as well as keeps you busy. Whatever you do, make sure to give it your all. “If a man is meant to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven made music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry,” said Martin Luther King, Jr.

More of our time is now spent indoors and online. However, current research indicates that nature can support the wellness of our bodies and minds. Nature has a significant impact on our minds and behavior, reducing stress, anxiety, and pondering while boosting our capacity for concentration, creativity, and social interaction.
