Conversations with the Inspiring Melissa Knoblock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Knoblock.

Melissa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My oil journey started when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. I had a really bad cold and didn’t want to use any medication. I found doTERRA Essential oils and the relief I felt was imitated. From that time, I’ve been hooked and wanted to learn more. Now, all I want to do is share what I’ve learned and to hear other people’s stories.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been an easy journey. I am constantly trying to figure out ways to reach more people and share my passion with them. I love the people in my life because they are encouraging and help with ideas on how to make my business a success. Two of my best friends wanted to have tea at this adorable tea shop called Teaspressa in Arcadia Arizona. I took a leap of faith and reached out to them to be apart of their monthly vendor event. While they were not looking to add vendors, they offered me a monthly class. I accepted and feel that this has really helped my business grow. My advice to anyone trying to start their own business. Don’t give up. You make your business what you want and if you want it to succeed, you have to keep trying. Think outside of the box. There are opportunities just waiting for you to discover them!!!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into doTERRA story. Tell us more about the business.
I love doTERRA essentials oils. One of my favorite parts is the co-impact sourcing program. doTERRA sources their oils from all over the world and pays the farmers a fair wage year-round. This is important to me because making our world a better place is important.

I love making videos for my YouTube channel on how to use essential oils. I also love teaching classes and sharing my knowledge with others. It’s a lot of fun being creative with images for my Facebook and Instagram accounts that can help educate people on doTERRA.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Learn, keep learning. I know it may sound cheesy but try to learn one new thing a day that you’re passionate about.
