Conversations with the Inspiring Jenn Menzer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenn Menzer.

As a kid, Jenn was a more cerebral student and would constantly try to avoid gym class. However, at the age of 15, her mom took her to a group exercise class and a spark was set. Jenn began taking classes daily, and two years later at the age of 17, she began teaching group exercise part time while at college.

Jenn graduated from NYU with her BA in Psychology and continued to teach group exercise during her postgraduate work at Northeastern University where she graduated with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology.

After three years of a professional career as a Mental Health Clinician, Jenn realized that her true passion was integrated health and wellness. She decided to switch gears into a career where she would be able to truly support clients in a more holistic manner, as they made meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

Jenn accepted a role as Assistant Fitness Director at Healthworks in Boston, MA. It was here that she earned her certifications as a Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Holistic Health & Integrative Nutrition Coach. After six years at Healthworks, Jenn was given the wonderful opportunity to own her own wellness studio. Jenn purchased Saldare Spa, a boutique wellness studio in Boston’s historic South End where she and her highly trained staff supported clients on proper fitness, nutrition, and holistic wellness.

In 2017, Jenn sold Saldare and moved to beautiful Phoenix, AZ. She founded Jenn Menzer Fitness Arizona where she continues to support clients looking to live a happier more vibrant life.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
After obtaining my master’s degree and 3 years in the Mental Health field I realized that I wanted to support clients in a more total body holistic manner. I took a chance, a leap! and switched careers. It was scary and exciting at the same time. My advice is to find mentors, women you look up to and align with them. Learn from them and use your experiences, successes and mistakes to hone you into the bada$$ women you know you are!

What should we know about Jenn Menzer Fitness Arizona? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a multi-modal health and fitness expert who has been improving lives since 2001. Pulling from my exhaustively diverse fitness expertise (17 certifications and counting!), Master’s in Counseling Psychology, and Certified Integrative Nutrition Coaching practice, I create truly customized and effective wellness, fitness, and nutritional programming that will change your life.

Part accountability coach, educator, and 100% motivator I am my clients greatest health-enabler. I believe that impactful, result-driven methods, along with clear instruction and positive reinforcement are the tools for success. I also empathize with my clients, as well as provide a bit of tough love (when needed) to further ensure their success.
