Community Highlights: Meet Sarah Aguilar of Realty ONE Group Integrity

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Aguilar. 

Hi Sarah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as a high school student renovating houses. Today I help people achieve their dreams of homeownership. 

My career in real estate started well before I ever stepped out of the classroom and into the job force. As a high school student, I started renovating and managing properties. With the mentorship of my dad (& best friend), I learned the ins and outs of the real estate industry from a trifecta of perspectives: construction, finance, & ownership. 

My father invested in me a wealth of knowledge from his days as not only a real estate agent but also a contractor and a mortgage loan originator. You could say my dad was my very first real estate coach and probably one of the largest influences for getting into the business. 

And my biggest motivator for staying in the business of selling real estate are my clients! The amazing people I get to not only work with in helping them achieve and navigate homeownership but also get to know them on a personal level is indescribable! The connection with my clients is what gives me life & makes me thrive! 

I’m not only a licensed REALTOR in Arizona and Nevada, but I’m also an avid Home and Property Rights Advocate. I partner with several organizations that help educate the public regarding real estate trends and help those struggling with homelessness. Some of them are listed here: Arizona Association of Realtors, Realtors of Arizona Political Action Committee, Am I You 360, Youth On Their Own, the Arizona Housing Fund, and many more. 

I work not only to help individuals and families achieve and navigate homeownership but also to preserve homeownership and homeowners’ rights for generations to come. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Adversity is no stranger to any small business owner or entrepreneur. Starting out as an agent so young had its challenges in the sense where I had a lot of people question my experience level simply because of how young I was (I got my Arizona real estate license when I was 21). Early in my career, I lost many deals to other agents simply because they were more seasoned in the business. Which played into my own limiting beliefs and inner saboteur. I experienced the Imposter Syndrome SO MUCH during my first few years in the sales side of the business. But all the no’s led me to the yes’s that helped build my character and resilience. I tell my dad all the time I feel like it took me the last 7 years to truly find my voice. And I attribute a great deal of that to my career and time selling real estate. The characteristics and qualities that it takes to be successful in this business is being able to communicate well both written and verbally, knowing different personalities and being able to adapt to the best way to work with them, follow up and follow-through, consistency & discipline. And so much of that starts with yourself and self-development. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a real estate advisor with Realty ONE Group Integrity in Tucson and Realty ONE Group Summerlin in Las Vegas. I help and guide clients on the path to achieving & navigating the dream of homeownership. 

Realty ONE Group is a Laguna Niguel, California-based real-estate brokerage and franchising company. As of 2019, it employed over 13,000 real estate professionals in over 280 offices across the United States and Canada. The Group was founded in Las Vegas in 2005 by Kuba Jewgieniew, a former stockbroker. In 2007, the company expanded into Arizona. By August 2010, it had also expanded into California and had 2,200 agents. In August 2011 the brokerage acquired John Hall & Associates, a Phoenix, Arizona-based real estate brokerage. In May 2012, the company acquired Southern California-based brokerage eVantage Home Realty. In August of that same year, it opened an affiliate program in order to franchise locations. In June 2020, the company introduced a luxury brand to promote high-end properties worth over $1 million.
