Community Highlights: Meet Rosa Davis of Rosa Nail Supply

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosa Davis. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Rosa has been in the nail business as a nail technician for over 16 years and has always dreamed about owning her nail supply shop. Her husband Neil worked in the public safety field for 26 years and decided to retire and move in a different direction. They sold their house, moved to Mesa, and opened Rosa Nail Supply. Rosa Nail Supply opened on July 10, 2022, after 10 months of preparation. From product research to finding a location, setting up the cash register and the POS (point of sale) system, inputting the inventory, preparing the retail space to open, and many other action items required to open a retail store. Rosa, her husband, and their two little toddlers love Mesa and are excited about this new adventure.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been both smooth and had its challenges. We spent 8 months working on the house before selling it. Luckily we sold while in a seller’s market, so that was fairly smooth; a lot of work, of course, but it worked out great. Once in Mesa, finding a house to rent was challenging, but that ended up working out well in our favor. We found an awesome realtor who helped us find a house, and also she helped us find the location we are at for Rosa Nail Supply. The biggest challenge has been getting all this done while raising two toddlers. We have two young babies, a two-year-old and a one-year-old. This has been both a blessing and a challenge when it comes to owning a business since you have a lot more freedom having your own business, but at the same time, there are big demands in owning a business and having two babies. We are both lucky and blessed, though, as both our babies are strong and healthy, and we have been successful thus far working on and getting our business up and running.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rosa Nail Supply?
Our business offers a full array of nail supplies, from gels, poly gels, primer, top coats, acrylics, acetone, monomer, nail lamps, rhinestones, glitters, and a whole lot more. What sets us apart, we believe, from other stores is that because Rosa is very experienced in this industry, she knows to answer all of the questions for the beginner, the mid-level, the professional, and the do-it-yourselfer. And we get all levels coming into the store. And because of Rosa’s knowledge and experience in this industry, rigorous research ensured we carry and sell top-quality products. Rosa personally tested every product in the store to ensure quality and durability. We do not carry a product we wouldn’t use or are not proud of. We have great products at great prices and branded our own line of nail supplies. Rosa Nail Supplies is the brand we carry, and we have gotten great customer feedback on our products’ high quality and inexpensiveness. You won’t find a better gel for the price.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We want people to know how much we love Mesa, how proud we have had the opportunity to be here and open up the store here, and to raise our family here.
