Community Highlights: Meet Angelee Lopez of Manifest House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelee Lopez.

Hi Angelee, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
So happy to be here! I’m Angelee and I’m the Founder and CEO of Manifest House, a wellbeing space. We host live-stream wellness events and while we’re currently a fully virtual platform, I’m excited to share that we’ll be opening up a physical space in Arizona in 2022!

A little bit more about me — I’m an Arizona native and I grew up in Tempe and went to Arizona State University for undergrad. I love to travel and after college I was eager to experience a new city, so I moved to Seattle, Washington. While I started my career in supply chain management, I always knew that one day I would start my own company.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, traveling, caring for my ridiculous amount of plants, decorating my home, drinking coffee and cuddling my sweet rescue pup, Mosely. My husband and I moved back “home” in 2020 and have been enjoying getting to know our new neighborhood in Central Phoenix.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

It definitely hasn’t been an easy path, but I don’t regret a single part of my journey. My passion for wellness really began one day in my mid 20’s, when I realized I was living my life on autopilot. I had the career success yet was completely burnt out, anxious, and unfulfilled. I was craving more autonomy, creativity, and self-expression in my everyday life. After experiencing a period of serious anxiety and depression, I decided to begin therapy. This was life changing for me, as I had put it off for so many years due to the stigma that exists. I didn’t have any examples of therapy or “talking about your feelings” growing up, so the practice felt really unfamiliar and vulnerable at first.

Therapy turned out to be the catalyst for my self-healing journey. It led me to dive deep into practicing gratitude, yoga, and meditation. Yes, I was improving my wellbeing, but most importantly these practices led me back home to myself. Meanwhile, I continued to feel a tug towards working for myself and creating a true impact in the world. In 2020, I felt my community deeply hurting, so I took the leap and created Manifest House, a space I felt was missing in the broader wellness industry. I’m incredibly passionate about mental health, self-care, accessibility and inclusivity in wellness, and building authentic communities. With Manifest House I was able to combine all of these passions into one community-driven space I’m extremely proud of.

As an entrepreneur, every day there’s a new challenge if you’re doing it right! With Manifest House being a fully digital business, it’s been challenging to grow the business without a big budget or any formal experience in digital marketing or consumer sales. I’ve had to get really scrappy and creative to build brand awareness and acquire customers. I’m also currently a one woman show, which can be difficult for someone who loves to collaborate. The solo work has, however, provided me an opportunity to clearly define the company values and also get to know my founding members on a deeply personal level!

As much as I enjoy the flexibility of running a fully online and remote business, I really miss in-person interaction with my customers. I can’t wait for the day I get to open my first brick-and-mortar space in Phoenix!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Manifest House ?
At Manifest House, our mission is to help women and non-binary folks care for all aspects of themselves unapologetically (mind, body and spirit). Women take care of everyone around them, yet 60% say the one person they never have enough time for is themselves. This can lead to physical, mental and emotional struggles, and the truth is that 1 in 8 women experience depression. For BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) this is compounded by a lack of access, resources, and cultural stigma regarding seeking mental health help. That’s why it’s crucial that they don’t have to go at it alone. At Manifest House, we solve this problem by providing a one-stop-shop wellbeing membership that includes:

1.) Weekly live-stream healing events at an incredibly affordable price point of $29/month. Furthermore, because we believe that wellness is a birthright, we operate on a community-funded model and have scholarships available to those in our community needing financial support.

2.) A private, online network outside of social media that encourages authentic storytelling, connection, and self-reflection between like-hearted members who share similar lived experiences.

3.) An entirely virtual platform with live-stream events and a Library of recordings that you can access from anywhere, removing the friction and helping you stay accountable to your wellbeing goals.

We also offer private sessions and Workplace Wellness programs. As mentioned, I’m excited to be working on expansion plans right now to create an in-person brick and mortar space in Phoenix! Creating Manifest House has been a dream come true, and I feel lucky to share this space of healing with those need it.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
