Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Tauscher.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I had bought and sold several homes with a Realtor, as well as referred her to a few clients only to discover the communication was subpar and that several key components of the inspections and our options were not discussed. We were left feeling like we got lost in the shuffle.
I thought I could provide a better experience so I learned the business and crafted a real estate business with a culture of communication, service, and connections for our clients. We have done everything from walking dogs, to let clients stay in our vacation home regularly, we provide boxes, staging, landscape maintenance, vendor coordination, and above all communication.
Connecting our clients is also a priority. Many of them have found jobs, friends, and networking opportunities through Rover. This model has allowed us to grow a successful business through predominant word of mouth.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most businesses, growth spurts create challenges and opportunities to hone systems.
As a former military, I navigate toward processes that have helped us smooth out bumps in the road quickly. I am a big believer in patterns so if I hear that more than 2 people have expressed the same concern we figure out what is going on and fix any gaps.
The most important thing a business owner should do is recognize if something has not been great for a client and do what they can to fix the situation.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Many people in real estate use their name as their business name. We went with Rover Realty because very few people could say Tauscher let alone spell it. And it turns out like us many people in Arizona are dog lovers. Rover is easy to spell and remember so Rover Realty was born.
Arizona’s real estate market has been very complex over the last few years. Last year Rover Realty closed over 30 million in transactions. We like to say it is a dog-eat-dog world in real estate and our job is to make sure our clients come out on top of the pack.
At Rover, we specialize in divorce cases. I am a CDRE or a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert. That means I have had a lot of additional training provided by the family law community to work with conflict files. We use the BIFF method by Bill Eddy which means our communication is not only documented but is brief, informative, friendly, and firm.
As a CDRE, I am a neutral 3rd party helping clients resolve the real property in their dissolution.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
We love collaborating with other small business owners.
Being a small business owner comes with a different set of challenges. We don’t often have an outlet to share ideas or frustrations. We can’t share with clients or employees when there is a rough day. Connecting with small business owners is usually a win for us.
We can get to know them as possible trusted vendors and can often be a resource for them as they navigate growing their businesses.
