Check Out Jazmin Cornejo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmin Cornejo.

Hi Jazmin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I would be an entrepreneur and eventually own my own business one day. Mostly because I never dealt well with having bosses or being micromanaged by large corporations. But I also had inspiration from my parents who were serial entrepreneurs or always working jobs that were not your typical 9-5 behind a desk.

Ever since my first job as a hostess in Chandler, Arizona, I knew that I had a passion for hospitality and loved working around food. I eventually moved into the hotel world as a concierge at The Arizona Biltmore Resort where my passion for travel started to grow.

I will never forget all the incredible guests and the unique connections I would make with people from all over the world. I was hooked! (Not to mention the hotel & free food perks that came with the job!). Fast forward a few years and a move to San Diego working for two other hotels, and a family-owned catering company. I loved the service lifestyle and knew I wanted more.

It wasn’t until I was about 22 years old when my grandfather bought me my first International flight that I really started to see the world. On that trip, I managed to cover 5 Euro countries but most importantly it was my first taste of solo travel.

Let’s call it about a decade later when I was living aboard in Australia. I knew the itch to finally start my own business was coming soon. Thankful to COVID, I was jumpstarted into the process after I lost my job in 2020. Some would call me crazy for starting a travel business in the middle of a pandemic but I had faith we would recover and that the travel industry would boom again.

I have curated my own kind of travel style that is a combination of all things luxury with a bit of street, grit, soul, mischief, and a “no regrets” attitude! I have taken what I have learned from the absolute best of the best and said F*CK IT – I’m doing my own thing and it’s called FeMAVEN!

I think it’s safe to say that travel is in my blood with a grandpa who was a pilot, my mom was a flight attendant, my uncle was an air traffic controller, and my best friend is a foreign exchange student.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Being a new female-owned small business owner is more of a rollercoaster that comes with all kinds of twists and turns.

Thankfully, I have a great network of girlfriends and other entrepreneurs who surround me and motivate me. They defitnitley don’t teach you this stuff in school and every day has a learning curve.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a travel & food maven, I never show up to the party empty-handed.

I am the go-to person in my group of friends to plan our next happy hour, bachelorette, international birthday trip, or long weekend getaway. I have over a decade of experience in hospitality and events in top destinations such as San Diego, Scottsdale, Tulum, Vietnam, and Australia. I have been to over 15 countries and counting!

As a self-proclaimed charcuterie board champion, I will challenge you to put on the best spread, no matter the geographic location in the world. I’m a lover of all things red wine, gin, and champagne and I rarely say no to an opportunity to meet new friends and share memories over a sneaky beverage.

I love a fancy five-star hotel and a glass of $20 champagne with a view, but I’ve found that my greatest memories are all about the connections that I make when I travel. Some of my favorite nights have been off the beaten path when I find the local taco shop, throw back a shot of tequila with the owner, and dance at the bar all night with the staff.

We know women are busy with careers, families, kids, and just everyday life. But we also believe in the art of spoiling yourself because you work hard and deserve to play harder. Vacation isn’t a place to count calories or worry about your next workout.

We want you to overindulge in life’s special moments and we’re here to help you plan them. Creating new memories with your girlfriends (with a “no regrets” attitude) is the only way to see a new city in our eyes. We want these getaways to hold a special place in your heart and for you to always remember “that one time…”

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
If you are a busy new mom, entrepreneur, or badass boss babe that is in major need of a vacation, then I’m your girl. But I love working with other female-owned businesses that can be part of my getaways.

Think of vendors like boat experiences, charcuterie companies, wine tasting, and more. Let’s connect! I also love working with local tour guides to create one-of-a-kind experiences in all the cities we adventure to.
