Check Out Cynthia Olivera’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Olivera.

Hi Cynthia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am the educational director for Wisdom of the Earth essential oils… I am a medicine woman and sage, teaching people to use medicinal essences to help shift old paradigms and patterns for dynamic self-healing. As the director and founder of the Inner Landscape Work™️, a movement/meditation process, I travel internationally to teach plant consciousness to the growing movement of medicinal aromatherapists, meditators, and sacred anointers.

Wisdom of the Earth only sells a single pure essential oil. I have been with the company for 16 years. We are an educational facility and have teachers who teach our philosophy all over the world. In addition, we teach how to use the oils for physical, emotional/mental, and spiritual ailments.

I wrote a book called The Book of Anointing. A spiritual practice of self-love using the Plant Kingdom as your allies. The Book of Anointing gives insight into my personal journey and collects the important and ever-evolving compendium of earth wisdom that I work with every day. It helps others feel comfortable to develop a totally unique, experiential ‘well of knowledge based on my initial guidance, in fact, and form, and then, from their own inner work.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is never a smooth road in life. Life is full of challenges for learning and growth. I do believe that this is an Earth school and the challenges and failures help us to learn, I will attach the first part of my book here so that you may read the challenges I have faced.

I come from freed slaves who worked the sugarcane plantations of Vieques, Puerto Rico. Indigenous (Caribe) and African DNA are in my cellular memory, along with strong Corsican blood. I fit in everywhere; and yet I look distinctly me.

I come from a land of beans and rice, sofrito, and fried fish, spicy sauces, and rainbow-colored fruits.

I come from the neighborhood in Queens where Latina ‘sass’ was currency.

I come from the “don’t-fuck-with-me attitude,” the legacy of sexual abuse and servitude.

I come from societal messages of shame, Catholicism, and patriarchy.

I come from the corporate WASP suburbs of Connecticut.

I come from the ionized red rocks of the high desert of Arizona.

I come from perpetually seeking financial safety to having financial sovereignty.

I come from self-exploration that led me to the vast and fertile expanse of spiritual awakening in my inner landscape.

I come from a loving maternal acceptance of All that I Am. I come from dance, joy, and raucous laughter.

I come from many deep betrayals that cracked my heart wide open to the Light.

Being a survivor taught me to radically love myself. The healing of my traumas brought me into my creative powers and it is through these experiences that I have healed myself. There is a gift in the abuse if you face the past and the pain with courage, compassion, and love. Love healed me, love revealed me, and love released me. With love and acceptance of all that has been, I can now serve others and the earth with the same compassion and love.

I don’t ascribe to any one dogma, philosophy, or scripture. I know that we are all connected to the Source of all Life, and I pray that the depth and breadth of my story will bring you to the remembrance of the deep power and divinity within yours.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Master Aromatherapist and a Master Teacher. I have been teaching for over 30 years.

I am a Creative and an Imaginer. I am a tribal mama and a spiritual coach. I am a dancer, traveler, and explorer of the world within.

I am proud of my children, my friends, my teachers, and myself for making it to this point in my life with energy, passion, and the love of life. I am a happy and grateful soul.

My light and love set me apart from others. I love life and the magic it holds. I love to teach about self-love, self-respect, and self-compassion using the essences as the allies enter the secret chambers of the heart. My life has many magical blessings.
