Check out Dalton and Ashley Davis’ Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalton and Ashley Davis.

Dalton and Ashley, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Both of us have always been creative and have involved ourselves in photography and filmmaking from a young age. We met in middle school and were friends for years before we started dating, and eventually ended up marrying. A year into our marriage, each of us was working a corporate 9-5 while doing our creative work on the weekends. We decided at that point that it was time to take the plunge and fully pursue our dream of a career in photography and filmmaking. We joined together as a husband and wife wedding photo and film team called “Ranger Visual”. Seeing our business grow and succeed has been so exciting, and it has truly been freeing to dedicate our time to something we love to do.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do? Why? And what do you hope others will take away from your work?
We spend most of our time capturing weddings by way of photography and cinematography. We love weddings, and we love love. Our primary goal is always to capture the essence and emotion of one of the biggest days of a person’s life, and to help them relive it over and over again. We want people to look back on their wedding photos and film and to see their true selves at their happiest. Weddings can be formal, and stressful, and often posed, but we strive to find the genuine, candid moments, and to capture the personalities and sincerity of the couples we work with.

Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
We definitely think the role of artists has changed. Now more than ever, each of us has the ability to influence others immediately through the use of social media. Many of us feel a responsibility to stand up for what is right and use this influence for good. Also, events happening throughout the world affect every person and relationship differently, and this has to be taken into account when your art is dependent on working with other people day to day.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
