#AZCreatives: the local artists who inspire us

Through a mix of mediums, formats and perspectives local artists illuminate the unknown, color the previously black-and-white and add depth to our understanding of our surroundings, our lives, circumstances and more. Through our research process for the Thought provokers series we’ve come across so many works of art that have inspired us and we’d like to share some of those great examples of visual and performing arts, photography and other creative works with you below.

Sometimes you’re at a location for one photo shoot, and you witness a totally separate event happen…this was a cool moment… 4:30am, shoot was starting at 5am…. this storm is literally right overhead. I couldn’t get out to grab a shot until it passed a bit. It was moving quickly, and I was fortunate enough to get this double exposure. No time for a tripod… hand held at 6sec. 👉🏼🤦🏻‍♂️…. you can see some soft edges on the hills because of it. It was fun, and my first experience with lightning in the desert….honestly, the last time I shot any lightning images I was using film, and it was the 90’s. Glad to see I still have some luck. Oh, and the “real shoot” went awesome! Thanks @_daliabarrios for motivating me to get out early so this could happen. 🤓 If you are looking, life always gives you inspiration and ideas to keep things interesting and fun. #lightning #azphotographer #userymountainregionalpark #userymountain #gilbertphotographer #arizonahighways

Creating abstract work is my absolute favorite because there are no rules(well, maybe there is but I've never taken an art class to know) and you can freely express yourself through color and shapes and randomness. I feel like it's a true expression of one's soul in that moment. Everything we see and feel with our hearts, expressed as best as we can through the mediums in which we are drawn to. Thank you to everyone who follows me and supports my souls expression in all its twisting and turning ways. I appreciate it and I am grateful just to create and share with anyone who connects to my creations. 💕🙏🏽 . . . . . . #abstract #shapes #artistsofinstagram #art #artist #digitalart #soulexpression #creative #AZartist #azart #illustration #spiritual #photooftheday #colorhealing #healing #loveandlight #energy #outofthisworld #dreamland #dreams #reikiart
